What is this webinar?
This is a 60-minute live SAFe® ART launch webinar led by one Rockmere SPCT (SAFe® Practice Consultant Trainer). It walks through the exact 14-week playbook three insurance carriers used to launch their Agile Release Trains and deliver PI Objectives at PI 1 in 2025. The format is 30 minutes of walkthrough, then 30 minutes of live Q&A.
You leave with a week-by-week view of what an on-time ART launch actually requires, from the first discovery interview to the first PI Planning event.
How long does a SAFe® ART launch take?
A well-run SAFe® Agile Release Train launch takes about 14 weeks from initial discovery to the first PI Planning event, which is the timeline this webinar breaks down. The webinar shows where those 14 weeks go, what has to land in each phase, and the early decisions that most often push the date.
What is covered?
The session covers the four phases that decide whether an ART hits its PI 1 Objectives:
- Week-one discovery. The interviews, value-stream mapping, and team-topology decisions that have to land in week one for the ART to launch on time.
- PI Planning facilitation. How to run PI Planning that works for distributed engineering organizations across time zones.
- Lean Portfolio Management. Integrating LPM funding so it survives the next annual budget cycle rather than reverting to project accounting.
- Internal SPC training. The plan that trains your own SAFe® Practice Consultants alongside the launch, so the practice continues after Rockmere leaves.
Who should attend?
This webinar is built for the people accountable for a first ART launch. That includes:
- Heads of engineering and transformation leads sponsoring the launch.
- Release Train Engineers (RTEs) preparing to run their first Agile Release Train.
- SAFe® Practice Consultants (SPCs) evaluating whether to bring in external SPCT support.
